This guide will help Confluence administrators to configure Questions & Answers.

After installing Questions & Answers, go to Confluence administration page. On the left menu, you can see the section QUESTIONS & ANSWERS. In this section, you will have to items: Configuration and Rebuild Search Index

Configuration

After clicking on Configuration, the Configuration page will be opened. You can use this page to configure permission & reputation.

Permission Settings

In this section, you can configure permission settings for your users in Confluence.

+ Manage Questions & Answers: Users or groups who have this permission can edit, delete, close questions & answers, manage subscriptions, ... There is a check box: Restrict new tag creation to these groups & users. If this check box is checked, normal users cannot create new tag when asking questions.

+ Use Questions & Answers: Users or groups who have this permission can view questions, ask questions, answer and comment on questions. If check box Allow anonymous users to view Questions & Answers is checked, anonymous users can view questions but cannot ask or answer.

+ Available spaces: In this section, you can choose to enable Questions & Answers add-on for all spaces or just selected spaces. If the checkbox Allow users to ask questions which do not belong to any spaces is checked, users can ask questions using empty space( global space).

+ Header link: configure to show or hide Questions link in Confluence header 


Reputation settings

In this section, you can configure how many scores users will get or loose when they use Questions & Answers.

Rebuild Search Index

This page will help you to rebuild search index for Questions & Answers so you can search Questions & Answers via Confluence search box.
