User Guide

Click Questions link in Confluence header or space's side bar to access Questions & Answers page.

Ask question

1. Click on ASK QUESTION on the navigation, you will be redirect to Ask question page

       2. At this page you can input title, body, space, tags for your question. You can only see spaces which you have permission to view and the tags belong to these spaces.

       3. When typing question title, if in Confluence has any similar questions, they will be displayed in righ side in order to reduce duplication when asking question 

       4. Click Post to post your question. After posting your question successfully, it will redirect to question detail page so you can view your posted question.

View question

After posting question or click on a question in Questions, you will be redirect to the question detail page.

In this page, you can answer or comment on the question. If you created the question or have permission to manage questions & answers, you can edit, delete, or close question by using edit, delete, close button. If you want to share this question, you can click on share button. You can share to user, group or email.

At question section, if you like the question, you can click on up vote button(), or down vote button() if you don't like it. You can subscribe this question by click on subscribe button() .

At the answer section, you also can vote up or down the answer. Beside of that, if you're the owner of the question, and you see an answer is correct, you can accept it by click on accept button (). You can also edit, delete the answer if you own the answer or have permission and share the answer by click on share button.

View all questions of Questions & Answers

1. Click on QUESTIONS on the navigation, you will see all questions of your current space or all questions of Questions & Answers if you access Questions & Answers by header link. 

Note: If you don't have permission to view a space, you will not see questions in that space.

2. This page will list all questions, you can see information for each question: number of votes, answers, views, who asked the question, ... You can also see the tags used by the question, if you click on the tag, this page will filter your questions by the tag you clicked.

3. There are 5 tabs: newest, subscribed, votes, active and unanswered. These tabs will help you order the questions by these criteria.

4. On right side, you can see information about how many questions in a space. You can click on Subcribe button to receive notification when new questions are asked in current space and click on Export button to export all questions

Embed Question List to Confluence page

In Confluence page, add question list macro, specify parameters to filter questions, click Insert to insert question list to page

Tags

1. Click on TAGS on the navigation to open Tags page.  

2. In this page, you can see all tags using in your current space or all tags of Questions & Answers if you access Questions & Answers by header link

Note: If you don't have permission to view a space, you will not see tags in that space.

3. If you have permission to create new tag, you will see button ( + ), click on it, a pop up will open so you can create new tag

4. If you have permission, you can see edit and delete button to edit or delete a tag. Only tag which is not used by any question can be deleted.

5. You can click on subscribe button to get notification when new question using the tag you subscribe.

Users

Click on USERS on the navigation to open Users page. In this page, you can see all the users who're using Questions & Answers and the reputation score they have.

Settings

If you don't have permission to manage Questions & Answers, you will not see SETTINGS in the navigation. Click on it to open Settings page. 

On this page, you will have 2 links:  

+ Configuration: will open Questions & Answers configuration page, please see Administrator Guide

+ Manage subscriptions: will open a page to help you mange subscriptions in Questions & Answers. Users will get notifications when new questions are added if they are added as subscribers in this page.

The subscriptions page has 2 sections: 

+ Spaces: in this section, you can add subscriptions for users or groups by space. If any new question added to a space, users or groups will receive notifications.

+ Tags: in this section, you can add subscriptions for users or groups by tag. If any new question using a tag, users or groups will receive notifications.
